TODAY’S MVB: David Krejci chalked up 4 points, 2 goals and 2 assists, in the Bruins’ demolition of the Flyers. It came down to Krejci and Brad Marchand, but Krejci edged him out on two important factors: more hits (2 for Krejci, 0 for Marchand) and more facial hair.

Zdeno Chara has a masterpiece of a beard.

BEARD-ON-BEARD VIOLENCE: With time winding down in the first period, Boston’s Andrew Ference and Montreal’s Benoit Pouliot get a fight in before intermission.

If Nathan Horton needs a beard mentor, I’m sure Zdeno Chara’s beard can step into the role.

TODAY’S MVB: It’s not much to look at yet, but Nathan Horton’s beard gave Boston the edge in a 2OT victory over the Canadiens in game 7. It’s a prospect beard, but it has at least another week to grow.
